In August 2015, after her father's passing in January the same year, Joelle Graziella KACOU, the owner of Jean Wenceslas Jewels had the idea of paying tribute to her late role model, Jean Wenceslas KACOU, through the expression of her passion for Jewelry and her culture. With a support of specialists, she designed the logo of the brand which is a mix of two Adinkra, the Western African Symbolism, the mix of the symbols of Beauty and Courage, to illustrate the core identity of Jean Wenceslas Jewels: Positivity, Excellence and Beauty. In 2017, the first pieces were designed at night or during the week-end, between daily work and family life. Then, in 2019, the first exhibitions at K-Days and Heritage Festival gladly surprised the owner and even made the front page of the Edmonton Journal. Each piece is designed and created to convey the intensity of all the emotions and character of Jean Wenceslas Jewels.
